Haven’t been blogging, lately….
I haven’t been disciplined,
I haven’t been self-controlled,
I haven’t been obedient,
I haven’t been loving,
I haven’t been kind…
Most of all, I haven’t been Glorifying The Lord, My God….
I’m so sorry, Lord. Please forgive me…. I am weak…
The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.
There’s only one sailing ship out off this miserable island.
Its the SS Js. Christ.
All aboard? Gonna sail that path?
Tough question, huh? When I, a human always wanting control.
Always wanna know what comes next.
Always planning what comes next.
Always wanting to feel comfortable.
Always wanna please myself.
Always thinking I know what’s best.
On that path,
There will be thunderstorms,
There will be hurricanes,
There will be sleepless nights,
There will be hard labour,
We think we know what’s best for the ship,
Only the Captain knows what’s best,
We serve ourselves,
When we are supposed to serve the Captain.
But,
When we do not do our work,
The Captain does it all for us,
When we sit down and hide from the thunderstorm,
The Captain sacrifices His life on the deck holding that mast steady so the ship won’t sink,
When we take enough food for ourselves each meal,
The Captain serves his crew before He eats.
That is The Captain Of The SS Js. Christ.
Always there to keep us safe from the hurricanes,
Always there to lend a helping hand when we need help,
Always serving His crew,
Sacrificing His life to keep the ship safe so we do not die.
A true leader, serves his teammates.
Greater love has no one than this, than he who lays down his life for his friends. (John 15:13)
Do you want that Captain to sail your boat? Or do you wanna sail your own boat?
Not by my strength, but by His.
