I was listening to Lifehouse – Everything on youtube. I came across the Passion Of The Christ version of the song. Seeing Jesus, the man that died for all our sins being tortured and crucified on that cross made me cry. I could imagine the feeling of Jesus when he was seperated from God by taking the sins of the world on His shoulders… It was heart-breaking. Being seperated from God.
Matthew 27:45-46 : From the sixth hour until the ninth hour darkness came over the land. 46 About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, ‘My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?’
Made me think, This man, Jesus took on all the weight of the world, was seperated from God, for us, for me. For everyone. A self-sacrifice so great He had to be left alone on that blood-soaked cross, by himself, in excruciating pain. Seeing my Lord and Savior being nailed and flogged made my eyes tear.
But,
The worst pain that came to mind was he was seperated from God. When that thought came in, it hurt so bad deep within. Worse than any other pain. My heart ached just imagining how Jesus felt on that cross.
Picked from Lifehouse – Everything: ‘And how can I stand here with You, and not be moved by You? Would You tell me how could it be any better than this?’
